The Little Things, directed by film and Broadway star Mary Stuart Masterson and written by actor/filmmaker Jeremy Davidson, is a dramatic reading of the true life journey of the Elone family, who lost their son to Lyme disease.
This moving production fosters awareness of the Lyme disease epidemic, particularly important in this region, given Pennsylvania’s status as #1 in Lyme cases. The reading highlights the devastating impact Lyme can have on an individual and his or her family.
The mesmerizing cast includes a captivating mix of award-winning and up-and-coming actors including: Kathryn Erbe (NBC’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent and HBO’s Oz), Frankie Faison (HBO’s The Wire, Barney Matthews from the Hannibal Lector series), Toney Goins (recent Juliliard graduate) and Malik Reed (SUNY Purchase graduate).
Presented by the PA Lyme Resource Network and Drexel University College of Medicine to memorialize local deaths from Lyme disease. Event includes pre-show book signing of “Lyme: The First Epidemic of Climate Change” by award-winning journalist and author Mary Beth Pfeiffer, Lyme Disease information booth and free materials. There is also a post-event VIP reception with the cast. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Call (610) 409-3002 for information.

COMMEMORATING THE BATTLES AND LOSSES OF 3 PENNSYLVANIA FAMILIES
Lyme Disease. Easy to get. Hard to treat. Each year in the United States, hundreds of thousands are diagnosed with Lyme Disease and related tick-borne illnesses. Awareness and prevention are key. We’re making progress, but so much more is needed to stop the suffering.
We are honored to present this event in memory of Pete Smith, Jeff Naticchia and Kevin Furey … and invite you into their stories.
“Tender art that makes the private public in the best way.”
-Bestselling author Julia Glass, National Book Award Winner for “Three Junes”
